No Peace, Only Envy; June 13 2022

Things… are bad.

If you’ve been following my news outside of this blog, you might have heard that our neighbours upstairs are harassing us. They haven’t liked us since we moved in, for reasons that weren’t clear to us until their children started chanting homophobic slurs at our window.

We’ve had to escape a couple of times, and the outpouring of love and support has literally saved our lives. If you could consider donating or sharing our GoFundMe (found here) we’d be amazingly appreciative.

I don’t have much else to report, but I do have a resource for those of you who were interested in my posts from June 2020 and 2021, focusing on the Black LGBTQ+ and Indigenous LGBTQ+ communities. While not LGBTQ+ centric, this article here is about the racial wealth gap and talks about financial literacy. If you’re interested, you can check it out!

Also noteworthy, I’m considering releasing physical copies of my books, The Wishing Maiden and Virtually Reality! If you’re interested in supporting this, drop a comment or consider encouraging others to buy the e-book/Kindle version!

Now our story:

The young woman swept along, oblivious to the eyes tracking her every move. They crept out slow, inching towards the clothesline until they were close enough to snatch a pair of pants and a tunic from the end of it. They darted back into the trees with their prize, stripping the shift off before they were even hidden amongst the foliage.

“Hey…!”
