Back to Business; January 16 2023

I’ve got a sick kid, a neck ache, and a bunch of revisions to do! Ain’t life thrilling.

This past Friday was the anniversary of the SWAT raid, and all things considered, it was handled well. We ordered in food, watched a docuseries about the history of swearing hosted by Nic Cage (highly entertaining, if you have Netflix).

Still not in my top favourite weekends, but it is what it is.

I got back the first books of my fantasy trilogy to edit. I’m having trouble getting my brain back into the groove of the world and characters, but attempting to re-read is still difficult. I still know the story, after all. This one’s been in my head since I was a teenager.

Getting some distance between me and the story will hopefully mean I’m capable of making it better, though! I’m coming at it with… well, not fresh eyes, but they’re as rejuvenated as they’re gonna get.

We’ve also finally got the titles nailed down, so look forward to those announcements!

Sadly, this is the extent of my brainpower this week. No story installment, alas. I just hope everyone’s doing well, out there.
