So Close, Yet...; October 4 2023

I have been so sick, y’all.

It wasn’t Covid – thank god for that – but my cough tends to linger after a cold, and now that my kid’s back in school, she’s inevitably picking up germs. We’re still a pro-mask household but I know it’s harder for kids to understand why they’re necessary. (God knows not enough adults do, too.)

Most important news, now: if you haven’t spread the word or donated to my GoFundMe yet, now is THE BEST TIME to do it, because an anonymous donor will be matching every donation I get up until Thanksgiving – that’s Monday, October 9th! Please, please consider boosting it however you can! My top surgery date has been set for November 7th and I’m so excited, but I still have a good chunk of money left to raise so I can pay them by the end of October (at the latest).

It would also be a super cool birthday gift. Which, my birthday is this Friday. So, you know.

That’s all I really have to say for this week – I’m doing what I can to motivate myself to write as much of this book as I can before November, so I have time to recover! Wish me luck!
