Donald Trump; November 6 2024
At 2:00 am in 2016, I took a walk to shake off my despair and wound up throwing up on the side of the road. And no, I hadn’t had any alcohol or anything. I just… I feel like I knew how bad it was going to get.
But I couldn’t have known. Not actually.
This time, we all knew damn well. There was a precedent. There’s disaster everywhere you look. Americans knew, and the majority of them decided they didn’t care, or that their hatred for others outweighed that fear.
If you were eligible to vote in the United States Presidential election, and you didn’t vote for Kamala Harris, I want you to know:
You are complicit.
For every person who dies in Gaza and Ukraine, you’re complicit.
For every hate-motivated assault in North America, you’re complicit.
For every suicide of Americans who feel cornered, like there’s no other way out, you’re complicit.
Good luck, America. I’m so sorry.
