Six Years Old; June 26 2024

MY KID IS SIX TODAY! Isn’t that WILD?! It’s hard to know what else to say about the way things have been going, because that kind of overshadows everything! She’ll be going into first grade come September! She’s growing up!

I’ve been focusing hard on drafting my newest book, writing over 30k over the course of the month while still pacing myself. I’m really enjoying this one, even while I’m amassing content warnings for the scenes that get unexpectedly graphic or take a turn I wasn’t expecting. With a bit of luck to keep my marathon speed steady, I’m expecting to be done the first draft of the book by mid-August at the latest.

But obviously, there won’t be much writing happening today, because we’re celebrating!
